Thinking Moves A – Z: Metacognition Made Simple – 45-minute taster session
About this event
Roger Sutcliffe spent 20+ years running ‘thinking skills’ courses in Philosophy for Children, de Bono’s creative thinking, Costa’s Habits of Mind, etc., but became increasingly troubled by the lack of a common and complete list of such ‘skills’. So he spent 8 years researching and refining an A – Z scheme that provides, for the first time, a complete and memorable list. His book, published just a few months before the Covid crisis, has rapidly found favour across the world, and has already been translated into 5 other languages, including (remarkably) Chinese and Arabic. In this presentation he will give a taste of its power to transform the teaching of thinking and of metacognition, using practice examples from Early Years to High School.
The event will formally end at 4.15 pm, but Roger will stay online as long as anyone wishes to communicate with him.
Registration will close 24 hours before the event, i.e. 3.30 pm on Feb 9th, and Registrees will be emailed a link to the event shortly afterwards.
